Recent victim of the Japanese corporate work ethic, Azusa Aizawa is reincarnated by the will of the Goodly Godly Godness into a new world as an immortal Witch. Settling down in a Cottage in the Highlands next to a nearby Town, she takes life easy for 300 years, killing slimes as a form of income.
300 years later, she decides to check her level, discovering that her work ethic has maxed out her stats, with word of her immense power quickly getting out, attracting the attention of adventures and a Dragon.

- Apparently just having a high Level is enough to make anyone desire challenging you in this world, regardless of the fact if your an active fighter or adventurer.
- Azusa at this point is only known locally as a generous immortal witch who helps out with medicine.
- Though after Azusa defeats Laika, everyone stops bothering her; plus everyone in Flatta would warn against angering Azusa.
- Despite it being a BIG DEAL, the concept of levels never comes up again.
- The adventurers and Laika arrive whenever Azusa is having a meal; befitting the old trope of "it never fails; [do something leisurely] and then [an interruption happens]"
- Despite Laika bringing a small fortune with her, she largely only uses natural materials and nothing bought with the house construction.
- Dragons retain their strength in human form; Laika carried house wall length logs without much effort.
- Flatta treats Azusa as local hero/celebrity for her centuries of generous help.
- For the exposition about Ernst, apparently no one has been trying to kill him for being a blannermouth; even Azusa, who has a violent temper when crossed bad enough (and THIS qualified). Even Natalie Jr. finds him distasteful for his inability to shut up.
- As Laika is later shown to be honorable and a sweetheart, she was clearly bluffing when she claimed to be willing to rampage in Flatta to get Azusa to accept her challenge.
- Azusa is ignorant of magic control. So OF COURSE her spell aren't gonna work how she wants at first.
