Walking down the village, Azusa thinks that instead of repairing her home, she needs an addition to it. Therefore, Laika proposes that she does the carpentry work and does it all by herself using only lumber. Working assiduously throughout the day, Azusa stops Laika that night, detailing she didn't become strong by working tirelessly, but by progressing at a moderate pace. Riding on Laika's back in her dragon form, the two reenter the village and Azusa introduces Laika to the villagers who immediately accept her. Back the their room in the inn, Laika voices her relief to how easily the villagers accepted her and believing it to be because of Azusa's influence. On the other hand, Azusa denies it claiming it's because Laika greeted the villagers properly. Before retiring for the night, Azusa has Laika show her stats to her.
The following day, the two ladies continue their work on the addition and later that day its completed. Investigating the fruits of their labor, Azusa states how they could open a cafe in the wide large space in the addition. Also, due to the large number of rooms added more disciples can be accepted, although she never intends to. Afterward, at the Clear Eagle, the two enjoy a celebratory meal together. Laika reveals that Dragons can eat as much as a normal portion of a human, Azusa insists that her disciple indulge in what's served for them. Once they're finished with their meal, they talk about what's been bugging Laika about the village, to which, she details the Flatta Village's Magic Defense is weak and a nefarious mage could destroy it without a 2nd thought. Furthermore, their is no countermeasures for a monster stampede whereas the adventurers there wouldn't stand a chance against such an predicament. Voicing her concern about how individuals who want to test their strength against the reputed Max Level Witch, the peaceful times would surely come to an abrupt end. So, to help prevent such an event, Laika suggests Azusa use her Magic Creation ability to erect a barrier around the village. Impressed by the idea, Azusa agrees to do it.
The day after, a magic formation is drawn with the help of Laika who details it's reliability compared to not using one. Once the process is finished, Azusa casts the barrier around the village. Curious to see if barrier that was erected was working, during the night, the two visit said village. Upon arriving at the village, a would be thief was magically constrained. Accompanied by a group of villagers, the village chief asks Azusa what was going on and after being notified of the situation is emotionally elated that a 500 year problem has been solved. Although the village head wants to sing praises for Azusa by her moniker, she details that Laika is the one whom deserves all of the praise. Because of this, news of the Witch's barrier over Flatta Village and her Dragon disciple started to spread. Continuing her life of leisure killing slimes, unbeknownst to the two a certain individual full of animosity toward Azusa was watching her from afar.
